If so, I feel you, sis! At some point in my life, I started to believe that my worth was based on performance, goodness and beauty. In order to "secure" or "prove" my worth, I began abandoning parts of myself for love, belonging and acceptance. A lot of us do because we weren't taught any different. Much of society teaches us to hustle, grind, go-go-go, be the good girl, age "gracefully" or not at all so it's no wonder that so many of us women find ourselves here. Eventually, I found myself in a constant state of fear, anxiety and worry. This got me a dysreglated nervous system with a side of physical and mental health issues. I adapted these and so many other coping strategies in response to trauma, conditioning, environment & life experiences. I'm here to tell you, though, that there is hope & there is healing. You have the power in you. Your body knows the medicine for what ails you. I'm so excited to share with you what I've discovered and the things that have made all the difference in my healing journey...a journey that has really been all about coming home to myself.

Why a Trauma-Informed Somatic Group Experience?

  • Trauma-Informed

    Trauma has an impact on all our systems. If we don't take a trauma-informed approach to healing it is very possible that we will just be putting a band-aid on our wounds...treating the symptoms rather than the root cause. Re-traumatization can also occur when well-intentioned support people and guides don't understand traumas impact on our nervous systems and our lives.

  • Somatic

    Somatics comes from the Greek word "soma" meaning "the body." Trauma is stored in the body so it is important that we work with the wisdom of the body. And we start with somatic safety because the body reorganizes itself when it feels safe to do so. In somatics we utilize breath, touch, sound and movement to commune with our inner world and to build capacity to be present with life as it unfolds. Somatic healing has been my pathway to becoming fully expressed and free. It's amazing what happens when you are able to regulate your nervous system. This work is not about "thinking your way" into healing. This is about healing through the body and integrating the parts of yourself that have been hidden. It's about coming back to your wholeness.

What topics will we cover in the 12 weeks we are together?

Since this is a somatic experience, we will be exploring these topics through breath, touch, sound and movement. It is an interactive experience. We will be learning practices together and uncovering the medicine that you hold within your body so that you can increase your capacity to be with life as it unfolds.

Meet Your Guide

Hey, loves. I know it's a big decision to choose who you work with and I realize that you have a lot of options so I'm honored that you are here. I am a Reiki Master, a Trauma-Informed Somatic Women's Educator and a Kidding Around Yoga Instructor, but I truly feel that life has been my greatest teacher. I have been on a journey to feel, release and heal the trauma stuck in my mind and body. And now I help others do the same so that they can feel safe to be the fullest expression of themselves. I am a formulation of my embodied experiences and love is my super power. I have an infectious enthusiasm for life and am in my bliss when dancing, singing, laughing, playing sports or connecting with others. I am passionate about conscious parenting, the power of play, masculine/feminine dynamics, human design, present moment awareness, eros, regulating the nervous system and helping others come home to themselves. When working with you, I believe that my most sacred work is to guide you to the medicine that you hold. You are the healer. I’m here to help you remember your power and to be your biggest cheerleader. I believe in YOU and in the wisdom of your body!
